Job Summary
We are seeking passionate and committed Loan Officers to join our team. The Loan Officer will play
a critical role in identifying, assessing, and supporting loan clients, ensuring that loans are
disbursed responsibly and repaid on time. This role combines fieldwork, community engagement,
and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and recruit clients in rural and peri-urban communities.
- Conduct household and business assessments to evaluate loan eligibility.
- Process loan applications in line with DEI’s lending methodology.
- Disburse approved loans and provide orientation to clients.
- Conduct regular loan monitoring visits and follow-ups.
- Ensure timely repayment and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
- Provide basic financial literacy guidance to clients.
- Build strong relationships with communities and represent DEI with integrity.
- Submit timely and accurate reports on loan performance and field activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Business, Finance, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in microfinance, lending, or community mobilization (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in rural communities and engage directly with beneficiaries.
- Basic knowledge of credit and risk management.
- Good record-keeping and reporting skills (MS Office proficiency desirable).
